Tournament Guide | Getting Your Way Around As A Beginner

When it come to testing the waters after a lot of battle training as a beginner playing splinterlands games, the tournament is one section you will be looking into, of recent, rank battle isn't based on minimum league criteria anymore on like those days when each league battles were capped at a certain card level, it was really exciting then playing with low level cards while also facing your opponent using the same level cards to play with you, it give beginners that zeal to stick to a league based on their cards power and still have fun defeating their opponent if their cards stand strong in battle but right now, there is no league cards cap, even at novice league, you can still make use of maxed cards if you have then in your collection, it is now battle of the strongest and not that fun to most beginners unless they rent cards above their league levels

Well it is the new reality of things, that is where tournament comes in since there are criteria attached to different tournament which can be set up by the Host. Even with your level 1 cards and some staked or rent sps, there are some certain league you will be able to play as long as you meet the requirement.

To Navigate through the Tournament section, first you have to click the play (fist icon) in the menu bar and you will see option like Ranked play, Guild Brawl etc, so you can clicked Tournament which will take you to the image above. But to navigate through this particular section, there are things you need to figure out and understand first, the image above which serve as the navigation bar. First of all, if you check out the drop down button with the word upcoming which shows the tournament that will soon be played, we have in progress which shows tournament that is already active, completed (tournament already played). The next button is where you can select tournament that are either public or private and also the one you are participating in or hosting.

The all types button allow you to pick between single elimination, anytime or sit and go. Most times I play anytime tournament because each round have 24hours time limit and that can give you more time to decide on what to do. The easiest navigation is the All Rules section which make things straight forward, you can see the tournament you qualified for easily and that is based on your cards collection which you can increase by renting more cards from the market section or rent more sps to increase your qualification chance to more tournament event. All tournament comes with different prize tag which you earn at the end of each tournament if you are among the winners, you can click each token you wish to select from.
