Web3 Games Era Is Gradually Going

Someone drop this tweet in one crypto & vibes group I'm in after someone made a statement that there is no more crypto discussion in the group that it is only vibes that remain, I had to check the tweet and I just laugh, on a normal note for newbies, who won't want the juicy offer to play web3 games full time and earn that kind of $$ monthly, when we play lot of games for free without any rewards, games like call of duty mobile etc. Well to me, I think the era of web3 games is gradually going down, there is no hype like that anymore unlike 2-3years ago when web3 play2earn came into existence, everywhere was really hot, there is no way you will check out a corner without seeing any web3 game hype, even twitter was hot and full of game gist because everyone want to earn but the only issue there was that they aren't free like they call it, you have to invest some certain amount before you can play.

yes and this amount aren't cheap back then because you must purchase in game items before you can play the game talk less of earning, but right now it is nothing to right home around, investment have sank to the bottomless part of the sea with zero hope of rising back. The one that really pained me was one sheep game that we venture into, we brought ingame sheep around $100+ with the hope of seeing Roi back in weeks, we already calculate our earning and all and boom within a week, we couldn't find sheep again, all we had was just the nft and it is not sellable, I was just laughing outside while crying inside, imagine if I brought living sheep with that amount and start rearing it, I would have turn to a real Shepard with lot of sheeps in my yard because they will reproduce.

The mention games like Axie infinity here, at first the game was really good but the team started modifying games rule, it was like every month, they have to change the rules because people were selling their earnings and price was reducing, later they halved the game rewards, when it didn't work, they change the minimum reward rating and people started losing interest because the game was now really had to play especially during battles and it all looked like play when Axie pet price tanked down from $200+ and now sitting pretty at $4, I always told this guy to just sell his pet and use it to buy data so he can laugh out his pain or just use the money to eat correct food.

Web3 games race is almost other and even the one still standing right now aren't really on solid straight and if they won't introduce new interesting things to the game or find a way of still holding their pillar strong, they will be at the verge of vanishing into thing air but time will really tell. Once again the era of Web3 games is going gradually, who knows maybe Web4 is somewhere cooking
