PIZZA 2 Brawl Report - 26 Jul 2024

Greetings to all, we have just completed a recent brawl for PIZZA 2 a few hours ago and now we are all reviewing through our matches in that brawl and getting ready to fill up the frays we usually take upon the new brawl starts. I will be sharing what happened in the brawl that we've just completed to show on the lineup and strategies that were used in the brawl. With the newest way wins are calculated, participation is a key now to help win 50% of the brawl, by filling, half the battle is done rather than giving away free wins to opponents. So every match and participation counts and we need more people joining us and fill up those empty frays!

Since the start of Rebellion introduction, I have now changed my Brawl Fray to Fray 4 for my guild which is the fray that uses only Chaos Legion and Rebellion Card. This is good because now that I play in modern, competing brawl in this format will be just like playing a normal rank battle. I think Rebellion cards are fun to play especially it changes alot of our thinking as compared to just the old style wild where we can outmuscle by pure stats. Without further ado, let's get started and see how the brawl went.

Brawl 1

	Remarks
Selection:	Counter Spell, Holy Protection and Weak Magic. For me, this means it is a match for Oshannus to shine because of Void. Then on top of Oshannus the rest will be Isgald and also Pelacor Bandit with the melee support to reduce the armour.
Outcome:	Win! Oshannus just keep going and slowly wear out my opponent while Isgald push hard too to clear the armour. At the end we chew off my opponent lineup and secured the win.

Brawl 2

	Remarks
Selection:	Ferocity, Reverse Speed and Counterspell. I avoided Water Splinter to reduce having faster speed. So I picked Death which I have quite a number of cards that have low speed and also added two cards that give protect to help me last longer.
Outcome:	Win! Enough protection and relentless attacks from Dhampir Stalker and Raa just did the magic. One more thing is that opponent had 2 magic cards that self damage themselves which was not a wise choice.

Brawl 3

	Remarks
Selection:	Melee Mayhem, Close Range, Blast. How I prepared my lineup for this ruleset is to attack fast and if possible have double attacks. If you realized, I have 2x double attackers and also a very strong Trapp Falloway prepared.
Outcome:	Win! The strategy to hit fast not only allow us to strike first, it also has blast damage to spray and kill off opponent cards before they can even start attacking, so this was a good match played.

Brawl 4

	Remarks
Selection:	Thorns, Up to Eleven and back to basics. For this, it was a clear instruction to use magic attackers so that we dun get damaged by thorns, so I filled my lineup with magic attackers and hope for the best.
Outcome:	Win! Kinda weird that my opponent still used melee attackers so the match was easily won when my magic attackers just easily disposed them off.

Brawl 5

	Remarks
Selection:	Blast, Earthquake and Equalizer. I put in all my heavy artillery and also Queen Mycelia for protect against earthquake. So with this, I hope my cards can grow fast enough before earthquake kills us.
Outcome:	Lose. Opponent prepared 2 flying cards with healing that totally outlast mine and I lost the match. Good attempt, I accept this defeat.

Brawl 6

	Remarks
Selection:	Opportunity and Heavy hitter. I put up all my big guns and heay hitters with protect from Ravenhood.
Outcome:	Lose. The additional speed from Jacek was a pain, the piercing was even more painful. With both of this against me, I had no chance and had to walk away with a defeat.

Guild Final Tally

I am assigned 6 matches this brawl and managed to win 4 out of 6 of them. There is also a bonus 2 wins added to the tally because of poorer participation from other guilds. For the 2 matches that I lost, opponent played really well and I know I was outsmarted. Will try to improve for future.

Oh my, this is not good. We have fallen even lower and now only able to come in at rank 6 for brawl. This is really alarming for us and not just that, we only had 35 wins which is something that we really need to work on. For us to compete and land on higher brawl position, we have to break the 60 mark for wins else there is no way we can get there. So let's find more people and win those matches guys. Go PIZZA 2!
