PIZZA 2 Brawl Report - 6 Oct 2024

Greetings to all, Brawl had just ended just recently and I will be sharing all the matches that I've engaged in for this brawl. With the newest way wins are calculated, participation by guild members is a key now to help win 50% of the brawl, by filling, half the battle is done rather than giving away free wins to opponents. So every match and participation counts and we need more people joining us and fill up those empty frays! And with fewer players playing brawl, it is going to be tougher moving forward to do get higher placing in brawls. We will need more fill up in brawl.

Since the start of Rebellion introduction, I have now changed my Brawl Fray to Fray 4 for my guild which is the fray that uses only Chaos Legion and Rebellion Card. This is good because now that I play in modern, competing brawl in this format will be just like playing a normal rank battle. By participating in this fray, I get exposed to more rulesets to refine my playing in daily rank matches. I am glad I've manage to be in modern fray again and with my progressive opening of reward chest, I am adding more Rebellion Soul Bound cards into my collection which should come in handy for the matches. Brawl 1

	Remarks
Selection:	Rise of commons, Heavy hitters and fab four. For this, I decided to put in something that I keep facing recently, which is to use summoner to shave down opponent armour and strike them hard with melee cards with high attack. I also added Orella to see opportunity to clear opponent cards from the back. In this match, I manage to squeeze in a Rebellion Soul Bound Reward card Chaos Evoker to attempt to eat in via the blast ability and the higher magic attack.
Outcome:	Win! Though opponent used similar, the additional cards that I have fielded did help me with the required task of them to spill damage and also weaken the backline.

Brawl 2

	Remarks
Selection:	Going The Distance, Aimless and Fog of War. Another match up that cut down my available card to the minimal. Thankfully for my water collection, the amount of cards still able to form nicely with each role in lineup taken cared off. Another Rebellion Soul Bound reward card seen here, Razorhound, which gives a boost in health for the whole lineup
Outcome:	Win! Not too bad, with a combination of both Chaos Legion and Rebllion Soul Bound reward cards, they both add additional dimension to my gameplay and help me secure the required win.

Brawl 3

	Remarks
Selection:	Reverse speed, Are you not entertained and born again. I tried redo what I did on the first match by having a reduced armour strategy, planted Chimney and Orella in hope to get some good advantage in the match.
Outcome:	Lose. Bad move from me, reverse speed is not good for blood lust as stats will grow and end up missing the target and losing the game traction. Something to remember and not make the same mistake.

Brawl 4

	Remarks
Selection:	Broken Arrow and Healed Out. No healing, then I decided not to go with Quora, but instead fielded a very offensive lineup with Katrelba and Jini Guise for the extra armour, with the front line being led by Grund and Carnage Titan for the double strikes. Thane Newsong is also fielded for that additional melee attack boost.
Outcome:	Win! Interestingly my opponent did included Quora, but due to the lack of healing, Quora cannot go to full capability but my massive melee attackers had their fun and chew up everything in sight to grab the win.

Brawl 5

	Remarks
Selection:	Taking Sides, Lost Legendaries and Weak Magic. Because of this group of ruleset, no double martyr combo to play, so I called upon Commander Slade which is also a Rebellion Soul Bound reward card to front the lineup as tank with Relenor Cleave backing it up and a whole array of range/magic hitters to complete the lineup.
Outcome:	Win! Every card in my lineup just did their required thing and here we are, breezing through the match with a good run for Commander Slade. Always nice to start using these reward cards in Brawl and testing out their capabilities.

Guild Final Tally

I am assigned 5 matches this brawl and managed to win all 4 out of 5 of them (no fleeing opponent). There is also an additional 2 wins due to lack of participation from other guilds. For the loss, it was a bad mistake on my part which I must avoid for future especially when there is reverse speed.

The guild ended at position 5 which is one position better than previous. With a lacking of active participants to fill the fray, things are really going to be tough as we will have difficulty clocking more win. As predicted we landed in the 4-6 range once again. This is round we are about 30 win short of climbing into top 3. To be part of the top 3, we really need more people taking part and filling up the frays. We really need more frays to be filled else we will just be giving away free wins to others .Let's continue to do our thing and get the best out of what we have. Go PIZZA 2!

Closing
