Battle from the Past (#04) : Using 3 Attack Type debuff in a battle

Hello everyone, welcome to my newest segment, "BATTLE FROM THE PAST". This segment was created because when I want to make a post for another Challenge (Social media and Secret Battle Mage Challenge) I always save all the battles I win. So that when the theme is determined, I don't have to bother to do a lot of fighting again because I have saved some of them.

And since the unused battle links are piling up, I decided to create this segment to share those battles with you all. And for this time, the struggle that I will be sharing is...

I used Conqueror Jacek to provide more SPEED because this time I focused more on monsters that have attack-type debuff abilities. I used Molten Ash Golem to debuff opponent's Melee monsters via DEMORALIZE , Ash Mirage to debuff Ranged monsters via HEADWINDS , and Tinderlock to debuff Magic monsters via SILENCE .

I also put Venari Marksrat in the back position in case the opponent uses a monster that has SNEAK ability so that later Tinderlock receives an additional 1 point in all his stats.

But on the opponent's side, for some reason, he put Pelacor Mercenary in the second position even though Pelacor Mercenary has no REACH ability. In contrast, Mycelic Slipspawn is placed in the first position. *Is the position supposed to be switched?

image.png

Fighting in the AIMLESS ruleset where all Ranged and Magic monsters get an additional ability in the form of SCATTER SHOT . All my monsters have already received this ability through Conqueror Jacek, so this ruleset doesn't seem to add anything.

On the opponent's side, the ruleset this time is unfortunately not MELEE MAYHEM or other rulesets that can benefit Melee monsters even if they are placed in any position. So Pelacor Mercenary can't join the attack until Mycelic Slipspawn is defeated by my monsters.

In the first round, Ash Mirage and Tinderlock aimed their attacks at Uraeus and defeated him. Radiated Brute, Molten Ash Golem, and Septic Slime attacked Mycelic Slipspawn. While Venari Marksrat attacks Pelacor Mercenary.

Regal Peryton attacks Molten Ash Golem, Mycelic Slipspawn attacks Septic Slime, Gargoya Devil almost defeats Venari Marksrat, and Goblin Psychic heals Mycelic Slipspawn and attacks Tinderlock.

In the second round, Ash Mirage and Radiated Brute defeated Mycelic Slipspawn. But Tinderlock failed to land his attack on Gargoya Devil. And Gargoya Devil defeated Venari Marksrat so Tinderlock received an extra point through MARTYR ability.

Regal Peryton and Pelacor Mercenary attack Septic Slime. Molten Ash Golem and Septic Slime attack Pelacor Mercenary and give him a STUN effect . Goblin Psychic heals Pelacor Mercenary and attacks Tinderlock. The additional points Tinderlock received were removed by Goblin Psychic using the DISPEL ability.

In the third round, Regal Peryton attacked Septic Slime again. Gargoya Devil and Goblin Psychic attacked Tinderlock. Meanwhile, Pelacor Mercenary could not do anything due to the STUN effect he received from Septic Slime.

Radiated Brute failed to land its attack on Pelacor Mercenary. The attacks from Ash Mirage, Molten Ash Golem, and Septic Slime hit Pelacor Mercenary. But Pelacor Mercenary activated RETALIATE so he could counter the attack from Septic Slime. Tinderlock attacked Goblin Psychic.

In the fourth round, Tinderlock defeated Goblin Psychic. Meanwhile, Ash Mirage attacked Gargoya Devil. The attacks from Molten Ash Golem and Radiated Brute failed to hit Pelacor Mercenary.

Regal Peryton and Pelacor Mercenary attacked Septic Slime. Meanwhile, Gargoya Devil chose to attack Radiated Brute, but that put Radiated Brute in RAGE mode. Septic Slime healed himself and attacked Pelacor Mercenary. He also managed to STUN Pelacor Mercenary again.

In the fifth round, Radiated Brute immediately defeated Pelacor Mercenary. Regal Peryton attacked Septic Slime again. Tinderlock failed to land an attack on Regal Peryton. Even so, Regal Peryton was defeated by attacks from Ash Mirage, Molten Ash Golem, and Septic Slime*. Gargoya Devil tried to attack Ash Mirage but his attack missed.

It was only in the sixth round that Radiated Brute defeated Gargoya Devil.

Review

Being in the AIMLESS ruleset, we can know who the winner is until the last second. But looking at the initial formation, it can be seen that the opponent is at a slight disadvantage because he is wrong in placing the monster position or maybe wrong in choosing the monster.

If only Pelacor Mercenary is replaced by Bramble Pixie who both have 7 Mana points it might still sound reasonable. Because Bramble Pixie has a REACH ability that allows him to attack in second place.

Uraeus's untimely defeat hurt me a bit because I was hoping Uraeus could attack and defeat Venari Marksrat for Tinderlock to receive additional points on his stats. Even so, Tinderlock was still able to get extra points from defeating Venari Marksrat although it didn't last long because the extra points were removed by one of Goblin Psychic's abilities (DISPEL )
