Social Media Challenge || Naga Assassin
Hi, everyone. Welcome to my post. In the Social Media Challenge, I will discuss anything about SPLINTERLANDS, it can be about cards, abilities, rulesets, battle reviews, End of Season results, or my playing experience.
In this post, I will share the battle of Naga Assassin who struggled at the beginning of the fight but managed to help weaken the opponent's monsters.
Naga Assassin
Naga Assassin is one of the reward cards from the CHAOS LEGION edition that is not included in SOULBOUND CARDS. Naga Assassin is a Ranged monster for DRAGON Splinter that has a rarity of RARE.
Although it doesn't have abilities at the first level, Naga Assassin is equipped with a fairly high SPEED. Although her Attack power and Health were deficient, it was understandable because she only had 2 Mana points.
Meanwhile, at Level 4, Naga Assassin just received her first ability in the form of BACKFIRE . BACKFIRE is an ability that is specialized when the opponent's monster fails to deal damage to the ability owner. BACKFIRE will deal 2 points of damage (or 1 point if you have the SHIELD ability) if the opposing monster fails to land its attack on Naga Assassin. This ability is quite useful and effective if we can widen the SPEED difference between the owner of this ability and the opposing monster.
And for the last ability (SWIFTNESS ) she can get when she is at level 8. SWIFTNESS ability will give an additional 1 SPEED point to all monsters that are on the same team as the owner of this ability.
In this battle, Naga Assassin will help reduce the health of the opponent's monsters not only with her Attack power but also with her BACKFIRE ability.
Battle
The ruleset for this battle is LITTLE LEAGUE (Only monsters that have no more than 4 Mana points can be used in this ruleset), TIS BUT SCRATCHES (all monsters in the arena receive an additional CRIPPLE ability), and BORN AGAIN (all monsters in the arena receive an additional rebirth ability)
In the first round, Naga Assassin, Xenith Monk, and Shadow Snitch defeated the opponent's Xenith Monk for the first time. Despite being resurrected using the REBIRTH ability, the opponent's Xenith Monk was defeated again by Weirding Warrior.
Pelacor Bandit, Uraeus, and Dhampir Infiltrator defeated Naga Assassin for the first time but he came back to life by using the REBIRTH ability. Dhampir Infiltrator tried to attack Naga Assassin again but missed, causing him to take 2 points of damage due to the effect of the BACKFIRE ability.
Angelic Mandarin and Twilight Basilisk attacked Xenith Monk and gave him a STUN effect. Meanwhile, Twilight Basilisk had to be poisoned after receiving attacks from Ravenhood Warden and Doctor Blight.
In the second round, Twilight Basilisk lost for the first time after taking attacks from Naga Assassin as well as the effects of the poison she received in the previous round. When he got back up, Twilight Basilisk was immediately defeated by Shadow Snitch.
Pelacor Bandit managed to damage Naga Assassin's ARMOR but Uraeus failed to hit him. So he had to take 2 points of damage through BACKFIRE. Angelic Mandarin attacks Xenith Monk again.
Weirding Warrior and Ravenhood Warden defeated Dhampir Infiltrator for the first time. Meanwhile, Doctor Blight defeated him for the second time.
In the third round, Pelacor Bandit failed to land his attack on Naga Assassin and had to take 2 points of damage due to the effect of the BACKFIRE ability. Naga Assassin and Xenith Monk* defeated Uraeus for the first time. And Shadow Snitch defeated Uraeus again after he came back to life.
The first-placed Angelic Mandarin could only heal Pelacor Bandit. He had to take damage from the attacks launched by Weirding Warrior, Ravenhood Warden, and Doctor Blight.
In the fourth round, Naga Assassin briefly attacked Angelic Mandarin before being defeated by Pelacor Bandit. Then Angelic Mandarin was defeated by Xenith Monk for the first time and Shadow Snitch for the second time.
The Pelacor Bandit who now occupied the first position took damage from the attacks launched by Weirding Warrior, Ravenhood Warden, and Doctor Blight.
In the last round, Pelacor Bandit briefly attacked Xenith Monk before being defeated by his counterattack. When revived, Pelacor Bandit dodged attacks from Shadow Snitch, Weirding Warrior, and Ravenhood Warden. But he couldn't dodge the Magic attack from Doctor Blight which made him completely lose this round.
Battle Review
The first defeat of Naga Assassin initially made me a little pessimistic if he couldn't dodge the attacks of the opponent's 3 SNEAK monsters (Dhampir Infiltrator, Uraeus, and Pelacor Bandit). But after reviving, he managed to deal damage to 3 SNEAK monsters of the opponent who failed to land an attack on him using the BACKFIRE ability.
Although they can't be defeated immediately, their reduced Health points allow my other monsters to quickly defeat them (Dhampir Infiltrator, Uraeus, and Pelacor Bandit) without having to sacrifice the first-placed Xenith Monk.
Those are the kinds of things I discussed in this Social Media Challenge. Thank you for reading to the end and see you in other discussions in next week's Social Media Challenge.

At only 2 mana, it brings a lot of utility in the game. I like this card 😀
