Gunther's Reign: A Milestone and Jey's Challenge.
Congratulations to the "Ring General" Gunther for this awesome accomplishment in WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment). In the just-ended segment of this week's Monday Night RAW, Gunther achieved a height no one in the history of this company has ever done. He is now the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion of all time, with over 600 days and counting.
Although not the favorite of many, I still think this is something worth commending him for. Unlike Roman Reigns, Gunther has kept this belt without the help of outside ring interference.
Kaiser, one of the members of Imperium (Gunther's faction), decided to throw him that celebration and the Ring General thanked him for it.
According to Gunther, there is no one in the locker room who can have the courage to challenge him now.
While he was yet talking, "Yeet", "the beloved USO" appeared.
Those guys really had some personal talks. It was a battle of words.
Gunther said Jey is also the longest WWE tag team Champion, but he accomplished 50% of that achievement. To mean that he did that with the help of his brother Jimmy.
This made Jey challenge him for a match for his title.
This is going to be a big match for Jey. Of course, he has had a singles title match before but he has never won a singles title in WWE.
Predictions?
I really don't think Jey will win that championship and end Gunther's 600-day streak. Sure, Jey has his strengths, but Gunther has achieved a lot as a singles champion to lose to Jey.
In my opinion, Jey might have a better chance at winning the United States title from Logan Paul. That victory would be impressive, should I say "YEET"
Well, If Brock Lesnar hadn't been suspended before the Royal Rumble, things would have unfolded differently. The storyline would have led to a showdown between Gunther and Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 40. Gunther would have aimed to cement his legacy by defeating the "Beast" Brock Lesnar.
Anyway, after Gunther accepted the challenge, he shoved Jey, provoking him to retaliate. Jey's response triggered a brawl. However, Jey found himself outnumbered three to one by the Imperium members. Fortunately, the New Day, who also have an unfinished business with the Imperium, rushed to Jey's aid, evening the odds.
What do you think about this match?
Is it really necessary? Because we all know Jey ain't winning this one.
