Locked cards? Where is the true card ownership? (2024.04.17)

I purchased multiple draws in the recent past. They gave common cards. It is possible to use these cards in battles, but currently all of these cards are locked, which means that it is not possible to send them to other players, not possible to list them for sale/rent, and not possible to delegate them. I have not seen such a thing in Splinterlands so far.

Why are these reward cards locked?
How long are they locked?
Where is the true card ownership?

Splinterlands is marketed with the true ownership slogan.

Trade / Sell: ANYTIME / ANYWHERE.

Looks like Splinterlands is no longer true to its own slogan.

When I saw the new reward system in the recent past, it encouraged me both to play Splinterlands again, and to invest in Splinterlands by making purchases with Glint.

But this card locking is really demotivating.
Both to play Splinterlands, and to invest in it.

I write this as a relatively old player (I started playing Steem Monsters/Splinterlands on 2018.12.30).

I continue playing Splinterlands for now.

Hopefully someone know the answer to these questions.

Hopefully the locked reward cards will become unlocked after a certain time, otherwise the current reward sytem is very demotivating and discouraging. I would not even call it a reward system in this case, because we do not actually own the reward cards we receive.
