Thanalorian Scion - Splinterlands Social Media Challenge
Hey Splinterlands fans and everyone else!
Hello! I want to share my post and entry for the Splinterlands Social Media Challenge. This week I've decided to do a Fan Art of Rebellion.
Yesterday, I was trying to figure out what to do for this occasion, and after a while, I settled on this girl here. I've done her before, but not like this, in combination with another character Nomos & Thanalorian Scion
I did this drawing in two parts, well, three actually. I started with a sketch in my sketchbook, then continued in Corel, since I really like the program and haven't used it in a while. Today, I thought, naively, that nothing could go wrong, but after losing the progress I had made🔌🔌🔌 I continued in Ps.
I've sketched out the first idea in my sketchbook while there was no electricity, beyond the warrior chick I wanted to do something more sentimental, like that, well so the main sketch and last one because then I would transfer it to the PC.
It's kinda small, perfect 👌
I opened the photo directly in the program and started working on top of it. I didn't do much else, meaning I didn't bother detailing or improving things. I just slapped some colors on a layer above the image with medium-low opacity, using the reference image for the base colors.
As I progressed and collapsed the layers to work better, I started detailing things more, and everything was looking better, well, it was progress, the lines were gradually disappearing, and the colors were more intense, although, this part all got lost! Since with the power outage, I was left in the previous step, so I had to do it again. I don't know if the same, but oh well.
I was detailing things a bit more, I hadn't detailed much on the face, so I did some little things there to intensify a bit, besides randomly working on some other places.
I already had some more progress on the face, 'cause I put aside the other parts a bit to focus on the face since it's pretty much what you'll see first. As I was going along, I made some changes. There were still some things missing, but mostly it was about finishing rendering since things were at around 50%.
In all this time, I hadn't done much with the hair, just what maybe where it would be, the first thing I did was slightly change the color the hair had, it was, I don't know, I had selected the color from the reference I think, but I wanted a blonder hair color.
After that, all that was left was to gradually create strands of hair with some small touches of light and shadows to give it some volume.
To finally finish up this drawing, after finishing the hair and adding some little details, I did some color adjustments, and also some shines to finish.
Awesome as always 😍
