Torch Vizier - Splinterlands Art Contest 295

Saludos queridos amigos de Splinterlands!
Espero este siendo una buena semana para todos! Por mi parte me complace una vez más haber completado una ilustración para participar del concurso semanal de Splinterlands esta vez en su ronda 295 el personaje que he elegido para esta oportunidad es Torch Vizier llamada Lady Zafira, elegí esta carta porque me parecía muy osada toda su pose y actitud, al leer el Lore me gusto mucho más es un verdadera rebelde y me encantó todo su estilo, espero me acompañen en este post, mostraré un poco del proceso, espero sea de su agrado.

Greetings dear friends of Splinterlands!
I hope this is going to be a good week for everyone! For my part I am pleased once again to have completed an illustration to participate in the Splinterlands weekly contest this time in its round 295 the character I have chosen for this opportunity is Torch Vizier called Lady Zafira, I chose this card because it seemed to me very daring all her pose and attitude, when I read the Lore I liked it much more she is a real rebel and I loved all her style, I hope you join me in this post, I will show a little of the process, I hope you like it.

Lo más difícil creo que fue elegir una pose, quería algo bastante dinámico justo como la imagen original, la dibuje de espaldas pero girada hacia el frente, y en lugar de una espada quise dibujarla con dos espadas ardiendo, una vez estuve contenta con la pose, procedí a colocar los colores de base de mi dibujo, para ello tome como referencia los colores de la carta original.

The most difficult thing I think was to choose a pose, I wanted something quite dynamic just like the original image, I drew her back but turned to the front, and instead of a sword I wanted to draw her with two swords burning, once I was happy with the pose, I proceeded to place the base colors of my drawing, for this I took as a reference the colors of the original card.

Seguidamente, comencé añadir un segundo tono, uno más oscuro que el usado en la base, y comencé definiendo las zonas con más sombras,
Luego continúe con el cabello esta era la parte que más me emocionaba porque es parecido a fuego ardiente así que procure hacerlo por capas con diferentes tonos de amarillo y naranja para crear algo de tridimensionalidad creando las ondas del fuego.

Next, I started adding a second shade, a darker one than the one used in the base, and started defining the areas with more shadows,
Then I continued with the hair, this was the part I was most excited about because it looks like burning fire so I tried to layer it with different shades of yellow and orange to create some three-dimensionality by creating the waves of the fire.

A continuación procedí a pintar la tela, aplique la misma técnica que empleé en el resto del dibujo pero esta vez creando los pliegues de la ropa, no estaba muy segura de cómo luce la ropa de Lady Zafira desde atrás, pero basado en la forma delantera supuse que se trataba de un escote de espalda.

Next I proceeded to paint the fabric, I applied the same technique I used in the rest of the drawing but this time creating the folds of the clothes, I wasn't quite sure how Lady Zafira's clothes look from the back, but based on the front shape I assumed it was a back neckline.

Por ultimo debía ubicarla en un paisaje y dure un buen rato dando vuelta a mis ideas, y simplemente opte por un paisaje desértico con un cielo anocheciendo, unos de los detalles que más me gustaron de esta ilustración además de su cabello de flama, fueron sus dos espadas ardientes y los restos de su cadenas aún pendientes de su cuello y manos, fue para mi muy gratificante trabajar en esta ilustración, espero poder retomar con fluidez nuevamente el dibujo y me complació mucho terminar este.

Finally I had to place her in a landscape and I spent a long time thinking about my ideas, and I simply opted for a desert landscape with a night sky, some of the details that I liked most of this illustration besides her flame hair, were her two burning swords and the remains of her chains still hanging from her neck and hands, it was very gratifying for me to work on this illustration, I hope to be able to resume drawing again and I was very pleased to finish this one.
