Collecting Silver And Dealing With The General Public

Howdy folks

It's been a while since my last post, life, a fire and other joys have made things tough.
But here I am today with another post about my dream of owning a ton of precious metals.

At the moment I still can't afford to buy Silver but I am slowly getting there and I hope before the year is out, I'll be able to buy some shiny new coins!
Recently I missed a chance to buy just over a kilo of .925 sterling silver jewellery for an absolute steal!
The seller had inherited it all and wanted rid as to them it was junk! I know, the horror when she told me but I digress.

I had offered actually more than she wanted as I needed to secure this deal. So off I toddled with the money in hand to collect. To my horror as I pulled up outside I got the dreaded phone call, her sister had taken it all to be sold!!!!

Now I'm not a heartless bugger, but a deals a deal in my eyes and they backed out of it after I wasted time and money on the trip etc. Much to the sister's displeasure I told her this and hopped that she would struggle selling anything in the future (yes very petty of me) but damn I was pissed.

I actually had no use for said silver, but the price was amazing and there was an easy resale on most bits, as the sister found out. It truly has put me off dealing with members of the public for buying my precious metals as some are down right annoying and really have no cares for others.

So now I am back to square one with no new silver,an increased hatred of the Facebook Marketplace and just genuinely disheartened by my many attempts of buying silver at a reasonable cost.

This has now pushed me towards the mindset that I will be stacking my money and I will buy a lump sum of silver in one go, from a dealer somewhere in the world that isn't trying to rip me off by charging insane amounts for silver coins!
Will this be achievable? I am unsure as anyone in a 80 mile radius of me is a rip off merchant and either dodgy to high heavens or charging double, yes DOUBLE spot prices for the good ol standard silver bullion coins.

Now I am off to grumble in a corner while cursing a random person that I met once and hope to never meet again!

That's a sad situation but this is what happens, and very often with inheritances, family's will fight over whatever is left to fight for. It's possible the sister who wanted to sell it to you needed money quick and therefore it was a steal, but then the other one found out lol.
