I'm Psyched For Solo Leveling Season 2

Solo Leveling was first published back in 2018 as a Webtoon series. Later it was adapted into an Anime series which was released in January 2024. Both releases created a storm and with so many eager watchers and readers, this reached a very wide audience.
With season 2 looking to be released towards the end of this year, I am way too excited for it.

Humanity was caught out over a decade ago when portals started opening up. These portals are known as 'Gates' which hunters try to finish to close them. These gates are linked to another dimension full of monsters who are immune to conventional weapons such as guns.
With the gates appearances this created the hunters, who were blessed with a range of superhuman abilities.
As you would imagine, groups of hunters sprung up and Guild's were formed. This allowed the hunters access to impressive items and money along with working with other higher ranked hunters.

The story starts with Sung Jin-Woo. He is an E-rank hunter, who are known as the weakest hunters in the world.
Jin-Woo joins a dungeon team that are exploring a dungeon that is meant to be very safe and easy to complete. On their journey they find a strange looking tunnel, with the hope of finding some more treasure, the group decide to press on.
This leads them to a room of horrors and unimaginable trauma for the whole team.
This was easily my favourite part of the whole series as it was brutal on a level I hadn't seen since the end of Tokyo Ghoul season 1.
Jin-Woo manages to survive and is able to access a level up system that only he can see. This is where the real fun begins. The system gives him impressive skills, but all this comes at a price!

I really hope season 2 drops soon, me and the missus can't wait to finish it!
I haven't read the Manhwa yet as I have started the Anime and want to finish that before I start reading it.
