Wow I'm really late with these posts, this time without PC made it even worse πŸ˜‚, but one day I'll get to the current events. For today, we have the equalizer rule, one of my favorites, and I was lucky enough to win the match right away, I think it was the fastest hunt so far.

RuleDescription
EQUALIZERThe initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health.

Equalizer is one of the most creative rules in the game, making the HP of all cards equal in their bases, with this I always see two strategies, one is to place a creature with a lot of HP to strengthen my other fragile units (this is the one I use the most πŸ˜‚) and the other is to assemble a line-up always thinking about the damage hoping that the opponent places a card with a lot of HP so that all of them gain even more value.

I particularly like to use very fragile units and then put one with enough HP like Djinn Oshanuss or Nerissa Tridawn to gain value, as I will always have cards with enough HP I will not worry about defenses, focusing only on support and damage, in addition, I will always concentrate the damage on the opponent tank, because all units will have much HP and divide the damage will be a problem.

Below I will mention my favorite and worst skills for my strategy, usually I am the one who puts a card with a lot of HP πŸ˜‚.

A match with 36 mana and the Back To Basics/Equalizer rules, with a rule making all creatures lose their abilities and another making the HP of all units equal, I chose to think only about DAMAGE, because as all cards would have the same HP and no abilities, what could define the match would be the damage on the table and a little luck in dodging attacks.

Analyzing the match: Luckily my opponent put cards with a lot of HP, helping my strategy of thinking only about damage, he also didn't fill all the positions leaving one unit less than me, this can make the difference in a match like this.

Round 1 - My summoner's debuff further complicated the opposing team by reducing the damage of two of his units, at the end of the round I managed to knock out Chaos Dragon.

Round 2 - Almost a reprise of the previous round, I managed to defeat Void Dragon, but soon after my flying skull was knocked out, so I have a good advantage in the match.

Round 3 - It is getting harder and harder for my opponent, this time it was the Magi of Chaos who left the match.

Round 4 - Victory is very close, I managed to knock out my opponent's penultimate card, leaving him now only one unit left.

Round 5 - Finally, the victory came, my opponent would have no way to defend himself from all the magical attacks to come, the last blow was applied by the Dhampir Stalker.

🎊 Conclusion 🎊

I couldn't use my main strategy in this match, the rule back to basics complicated this strategy, I focused on putting enough damage on the table and hope that my opponent put cards with enough HP at the cost of your damage, and luckily this happened.

Equalizer is undoubtedly one of my favorite to play, it's beautiful to see super fragile cards like Ever-Hungry Skull and Soul Strangler become super powerful monsters, there is a new common card that also plays a lot in this rule, the Dumacke Orc πŸ€—.
