Archmage Update: New Features and Wild Leaderboard Dominance

Note: The features and improvements discussed in this update have been live for a few days now. If you've noticed an uptick in your performance recently, it's likely due to these enhancements. We're excited to officially share the details of what's been contributing to these positive changes!

🆕 New Features

1. Tactics Support

We've introduced initial support for Tactics abilities! This new feature brings a fresh dynamic to your battles. Here's what you need to know:

• Understanding Tactics Placements: You may notice that sometimes the placement of Tactics abilities seems unusual. This could be due to several factors:
  • Our data shows it's actually the best placement, even if it's not immediately obvious why.
  • The bot calculated you're likely to win regardless, so it doesn't prioritize optimal placement.
  • The bot determined you're likely to lose regardless, so again, it doesn't focus on optimal placement.

These scenarios can lead to seemingly odd choices, like putting a +2 ranged attack on a unit without a ranged attack. Remember, the bot is designed to optimize resource allocation to maximize overall wins.

• Continuous Improvement: This is our initial implementation. We'll continue to refine and improve Tactics support over time based on performance data and your feedback.

• Pro Tip: Eternal Tofu is exceptionally powerful with Tactics. If you own this card, expect to see it played frequently!

2. Chicken Mode 🐔

We've introduced a new feature we're calling "Chicken Mode":

• Increased likelihood of including 0 mana cards (like Furious Chicken) on teams.
• Elanor Bravefoot owners, get ready to see her more often in low mana matches!

This change adds an exciting new dimension to your battle strategies, especially in low-mana matches.

💪 Improvements

• Hand Finder Enhancements: We've made core changes to increase card variety and improve performance in 3 ruleset matches. This should lead to more diverse and effective team compositions.

🐛 Bug Fixes

We've addressed several issues to improve your gameplay experience:

• Resolved multiple bugs causing unwanted surrenders.
  • Note: We're still investigating a few rare cases. Please report any surrenders you encounter!
• Fixed an issue causing Lux Vega and Dragon summoners to be underutilized.
