Splinterlands Social Media Challenge!

Hello everyone. Today I am going to share my battle.

Battle details: I played with water splinter and my opponent used a water splinter against me. Fire, Life, Death and Dragon teams were banned in this battle.

It was a battle with 42 mana cap and three rules:

Close Range: Ranged attacks may be used in first position in battles.

Ferocity: All monsters have the Fury ability.

FabFour: Up to four units can be used.

Summoner, KELYA FRENDUL level 5. This water summoner adds +1 speed and armor to my team.

First Position, GOBLIN MECH level 6. This monster has great melee attack and two abilities: Piercing and Stun,

Second Position, PHANTOM OF THE ABYSS level 3. A very powerful mage who is also good at dodging enemy attacks.

Third Position, SULTRY BARMAID level 3. A monster with Ambush and Stun abilities.

Fourth Position, HYDRA level 3. This monster is a great protection from Sneak attacks because it has Heal, Thorns and Retaliate.

This battle had a big mana cap but only allowed to use up to 4 monsters. So I used some of the strongest monsters I have. I hoped to take enemy tank out of battle with Ambush and Stun abilities. After that I could have killed enemy tank with my own tank( who also had a Stun ability just in case) and a mage. I used HYDRA as defence from Sneak attacks. It was also my triumf card- I thought that if my enemy will not have Sneak attacks his team will be very wounded by the time my HYDRA will be in first position and it will be able to slay remaining enemies.

My enemy missed quite a few attacks on my mage but was still able to kill it. I was sure that my HYDRA will slay remaining few enemies. But in the end my opponent's monster proved to be an equal match for my HYDRA- They killed eacth other and battle ended in an unexpected draw.
