Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge: The Glint Shop

(Edited)

Glint is the newest in-game currency within the Splinterlands game. If you’re a Splinterlands player, you probably already know about it. But if you’re not, take some time to read through this, you might get interested in playing Splinterlands afterward.

If, after reading this article, you want to try playing it, there is a link at the bottom for you to give the game a try.

First of all, for those unfamiliar with Splinterlands, it’s an action card game where you battle in real-time using cards with different attacks, strengths, and abilities.

This game is incredibly addictive! You need to use various strategies in each battle since the ruleset and opponents change every time.

There’s an in-game currency called Glint, which you can use to buy cards, loot chests, exclusive items, and other resources.

Today, I’ll share how I spend the Glint I’ve earned from battles.

Once I save up enough Glint, I head to the Glint Shop to buy cards. I prefer purchasing cards instead of other items because it ensures I’ll get exactly what I want.

With loot chests, there’s a chance you might get potions or other items instead of cards.

But since my focus is on building my card collection, I prioritize card purchases.

Adding more cards to my deck helps reduce expenses by lowering the need to rent cards for battles.

I carefully budget my Glint at the end of every season, focusing initially on Common Draw and Rare Draw to collect common and rare cards.

Here are some cards I’ve acquired from my draws:

I didn't include the Chaos Edition here because you can no longer get it from the Glint Shop.

After receiving the cards, I check their stats and status.

Your strategy for battles will guide your decision on how to use the cards once you see their Max Level potential.

For example, if I like a card’s stats at its max level, I’ll save up to upgrade it.

But if I don’t need the extras, I burn the extra cards to convert them back into Glint, which I can use for purchases at the Glint Shop.

The higher the card’s Rarity and Foil, the more Glint you’ll get when you burn it.

However, be careful when burning cards—this action is irreversible. Once done, you can't undo it.

Once I complete my desired cards from the Common and Rare Draws, I’ll shift my focus to collecting cards from the Epic and Legendary Draws.

If Splinterlands is new to you, I’m sure you’ll enjoy playing this game. It’s the kind of game you’ll keep coming back to, not just because you know you can earn, but because it’s genuinely fun to play.

If you also want to enjoy playing Splinterlands, you can click my banner with the referral link. You can try the game in free-to-play mode first, but if you want to earn while playing, you need to buy a Spellbook which costs only $10. I’m sure you’ll enjoy this game because I’ve been playing it for over 2 years and I still haven’t gotten tired of it.

I do the same. I bought the rare first and upgraded to level 4 then I bought commons. After achieving the desired level I started buying epics.

I still can't buy epic cards. I still need to finish collecting many commons and rares. Hahaha!

Yes, rares to at least level 4 and commons to level 5 before epics. That's what I did 😀
