This week's battle challenge is Dragons, and I decided to focus on another untamed edition legendary monster and one of my favorite cards in splinterlands, the Dragon Jumper. This agile flying dragon monster comes from the sky, leaps into the battlefields, wreck damage, and then summons its dragon to fly away into the sunset. In my opinion, the Dragon Jumper is what I would classify as a rogue DPS character who does a lot of damage, has abilities to prevent the enemy from hitting it, and can stun the opponent. It's almost too perfect, but as we know from traditional RPGs, the rogues are always a bit too squishy and therefore need to be supported by tanks. It's also one of the few cards that I would consider saving up to purchase; that's how biased I am towards it.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
I went into this battle with probably 3 of my favorite Dragon Splinter cards: Daria Dragonscale, Manticore, and Dragon Jumper. Also, I took a risk by going into battle with no tank and decided to focus on damage. Pairing the Daria Dragonscale with Manticore and Dragon Jumper gives me 8 melee damage. My opposition opted for a different strategy by going with a tank and magic debuff monster. Now I want to say that my strategy was the reason for the win, but as you know, causation doesn't equal correlation. I merely got lucky in the battle with the number of misses that were procced by Manticore's and Dragon Jumper's Flying ability. Dragon Jumper, paired with his fellow Dragon Splinter compatriot were able to dispatch the tanky Shieldbearer with much ease. Dragon Jumpers Opportunity ability allowed it to deal damage from any position on the battlefield and was crucial in securing the victory against a good opponent.
Do you like the Dragon Jumper? Why or why not?
As I mentioned above, one of my favorite monsters in splinterlands. The abilities, the tremendous damage, the speed, and also it is from the Dragon Splinter, which allows you to use it in combination with other Splinters, all further add to the value of the card. As expected, this card is also top-rated amongst the top 100 players, as confirmed by the latest usage report by @jacekw. With these posts, I always like to provide an alternative for new players, mainly if the card being focused on is expensive. Let's face it; I don't expect new players to be dropping $160 for a level 1 card of Dragon Jumper. However, a cheaper alternative can be found in the Screeching Vulture. Albeit it's more a b-grade version of the Dragon Jumper but much cheaper and has 2 similar abilities.
