I tried Splinterlands again after a long pause (2022.12.15)

avatar

I have not played it since months. Yesterday (on 2022.12.14) I decided to give it another try. It is still very frustratingly hard, and it is not encouraging/motivating. But at least I reached the Bronze III league.

I played 60 battles since yesterday, and I won only 17 battles, so my current win rate in this season is 28.33%. But the game is not encouraging/motivating to keep playing. I earned only 11 Season Points and 11 Focus Points so far. The minimum to earn one chest is 390 points. Both in the case of the Season chests, and in the case of the Focus chests too.

I am currently the 110 005 in the Bronze League. The season ends in three hours.

I played 12 035 (Wild) battles since 2018.12.30, and I won 6035 battles so far. So my all time win rate is 50.14%.

Probably I stop playing Splinterlands again. As I wrote above, the game is still very frustratingly hard, and there is still no encouragement/motivation to play. Nowadays I do not feel the progress in this game. It would be too much time consuming. I would need to play it literally the entire day to earn one Focus chest or Season chest.

Splinterlands was a completely different game in the past. It was very rewarding and very encouraging. It was one of my favorite video games in/around 2019.

I keep automatically leasing out most of my Splinterlands cards on Splex.GG, and sometimes I do Splinterlands card giveaways. I keep building my SWAP.HIVE:SPS liquidity position. And I build my SPT stake too. So I am still involved in Splinterlands. But nowadays I do not like to play it because of the above mentioned things.

Probably I will give it more tries from time to time to see whether there is a change in a good direction, or not.

If you play Splinterlands, then good luck and have fun.

Have a nice day. All the best. Greetings and much love from Hungary.

The new cards are very powerful, i that if you don’t have them you will lose.

I know. I read this in an official Splinterlands post in the recent past. Maybe I will try renting a few new cards in the near future, and I will see whether winning with them will give a better amount of Season Points or Focus Points.

Probably a few legendary summoners would help. Maybe I will try renting a few of them.

Na at Bronze you are fine with a Djinn Oshanus no need to Leg summoner yet
Unless you want to use a lv 1 yodin to speed through it.
Just get a bronze-capped summoner and use the level difference to win it :D
Below two will work up to Gold sometimes have fun

Fire
Yodin 1, Scorch fiend 1, radiated scorcher lv 3, goblin fireballer lv 1, serpentine spy lv1, fire elemental lv 1, spark pixies lv1,

Water
Keyla 1 or 2, Djinn Oshanus lv 1, Ice pixie 1, Nerissa dawn 1, merdalli guardian 1, pelacor bandit 1, Venari wavesmith 1

That should do the trick :)

Djinn Oshanus

Djinn Oshannus is indeed a very good card. I played it a few times in the past. I started to rent it for three days for 9.018 DEC. I also own one, but currently I am leasing it out.

Thank you for the advice.

Good luck and have fun.

Splinterlands is tough and I think it's hell over there in bronze. Maybe your focus will be better after the next reset because it takes into consideration where you were when the focus resets.

Currently I cannot even stay in the Bronze III League. I fall back to the Novice. Splinterlands simply gives too much frustration. Probably I will not suffer with it. I simply stop playing it. A game should be fun and enjoyable, and not frustrating. Especially not this frustrating. I completely understand those, who stopped playing it.

The barrier to entry is definitely tough and I don't blame people for stopping. The endless bot hell in novice/bronze is annoying and that is why I am glad that I end in Gold/Diamond to avoid all of that mess.
