Hello Alien Art and Splinterlands community! This time, my participation focuses on a mix of techniques for creating light from objects that don’t naturally emit it, along with the elements I used to create the character in question. The use of warm colors was very prominent in the composition. I thought it would be a great idea to interpret this character, as I recently watched the entire Lord of the Rings saga and was captivated. This artwork is a tribute to that fantastic title!

En esta ocasión, mi participación se centrará en una combinación de técnicas para crear luces a partir de objetos que originalmente no las emiten, junto con los elementos que utilicé para crear el personaje en cuestión. Los colores cálidos jugaron un papel fundamental en la composición del arte. Me pareció una gran idea interpretar a este personaje, ya que recientemente vi la saga completa de El Señor de los Anillos y quedé fascinado. ¡Esta obra es un tributo a ese magnífico título!

To begin, the character generated had a similar look to what I envisioned, so my work focused on color adjustments for his outfit, keeping the browns and golds intact. I continued by working on his eyebrows, using a brush to enlarge them, as they are quite pronounced in the card illustration. After finishing this section, I applied a color correction to his head, which appeared a bit purple, and took the opportunity to enhance the glow of his eyes with a blend of yellow and orange.

Para comenzar, el personaje generado tenía un aspecto similar al que buscaba, por lo que mi participación se basó en ajustes de color en su traje, respetando los tonos marrones y dorados. Continué trabajando en sus cejas, utilizando un pincel para agrandarlas, ya que en la ilustración de la carta son bastante pronunciadas. Tras completar esta sección, realicé una corrección de color en su cabeza, que se veía algo morada, y aproveché para resaltar el resplandor de sus ojos con una mezcla de amarillo y naranja.

For the creation of the large skull, which resembles that of a dinosaur, I used rock textures. After cutting them to match the shape, I applied a subtle stroke to mark the areas and add some depth before working on the lights. Warm colors were applied using a brush, with yellows, whites, and different oranges creating the lights that emanate from the center. I then continued with the separate illumination of the character, carefully considering the direction of the light.

Para la creación de ese gran cráneo que parece ser de un dinosaurio, utilicé texturas de rocas. Al recortarlas para que se asemejen a la figura, añadí un trazo leve que marca las zonas y genera algo de profundidad antes de trabajar en las luces. Los colores cálidos fueron aplicados con el pincel, utilizando amarillos, blancos y naranjas para crear el efecto de luces que emergen desde el centro. Después, continué con la iluminación separada del personaje, prestando especial atención al origen de la luz.

The creation of the fireball covered a part of the hand that was hidden, so I discreetly cut that section and placed a circle, accompanied by glows. I painted its surface with a strong orange and, using fire brushes and effects, achieved the desired result. The same lighting technique was applied to the dwarf's outfit. For the background, I kept it simple: his name in a fitting typography, with a gradient and a dirt texture added.

La creación de la bola de fuego cubría una parte de la mano que estaba oculta, así que discretamente recorté esa sección y coloqué un círculo, acompañado de resplandores. Pinté su superficie con un naranja intenso y, con pinceles de fuego y efectos, logré el resultado deseado. Usé la misma técnica de iluminación en el traje del enano. Para el fondo, añadí algo básico: su nombre en una tipografía acorde, con un gradiente y una textura de suciedad.
