Unveiling the Secrets of Splinterlands

Introduction

Splinterlands, the popular blockchain-based trading card game, has captivated players worldwide. However, beneath its shiny surface lies a darker reality. In this blog post, we'll explore the hidden aspects of Splinterlands that players rarely discuss.

The Extraction Game

Specific players who enjoy significant trust within the community have been extracting the game for years. They consistently say things like, ‘Smart people buy now, and the foolish sell,’ yet they refrain from making purchases themselves. These extractors hide behind inconspicuous accounts, gaining your trust while simultaneously profiting from it. In reality, these individuals exploit you and aim to perpetuate this exploitation as long as possible. That’s why they now seek to delete negative opinions on Discord. This aligns with the tactics of scammers—by removing negative content, they encourage victims to believe everything is fine and continue making deposits.

The Bot Farm Conspiracy

Even Splinterlands team members are not immune. Some utilize bot farms, inflating their gains. Meanwhile, deliberate efforts suppress asset values, leaving players chasing losses and pouring in more money.

The Company's Dilemma

Rather than rescuing the company from financial woes, the focus seems to be on maximizing exploitation. Certain individuals bypass the DAO and clandestinely dictate decisions. They feign support for proposals publicly but undermine them behind closed doors, prioritizing their own interests.
As the game is now solely focused on exploiting the remaining players, the company is on the brink of bankruptcy. Eventually, once the DAO funds are depleted, the servers will be shut down.

The SPS Rental Scheme

Last year, when I proposed CP requirements, influential whales pushed for SPS instead. Guess what prevailed? SPS requirements even though the CP proposal has already been accepted twice!
And the CEO plays these dirty games by presenting these things as his own proposal because it finds more acceptance in the community when he releases it and not the whales. Not only that I knew that these behind-the-scenes people wanted SPS instead of CP since last year. Moreover, these individuals were already aware of details from the SPS (wild season pass) proposal over a week before Matt published it.
It's a rigged game, and insider trading is commonplace.

Conclusion

Next time you play Splinterlands, remember that appearances can deceive. Behind the scenes, a complex web of manipulation and self-interest thrives.
