Splinterlands battle mage secrets : Odd Ones Out
Hello Splinter nerds
This week Splinterlands battle mage secret is Odd ones out
A ruleset in which only monsters with odd mana can be used, all the even mana monsters are ruled out and unavailable to be used in battle.
Along with this rule, we were given another two rules which are:
Keep your distance: Monsters with melee attacks can not be used!
Heavy hitters: All monsters have the knock-out ability which gets triggered whenever a monster is stunned.
Four Splinters were available and for a few seconds, I was confused about the right splinter that would lead me to victory. Still, after pondering for some seconds, I decided to use a dragon summoner Akane with the Ambush
stat which means two of my monsters will have the chance to attack before round 1 starts, I wanted to take advantage of that.
Guess what the opponent used?
The opponent came prepared, it was as if he knew I was going to come up with a lot of magic monsters and he defended well against it by using Void dragon with the Phase, flying, and void
abilities supported by two healers!... it would have been difficult for me to take down but thanks to the monster with the stun
ability that I used... let me take you on a tour of my set up and why I used that formation.
Chaos Agent
It was a 29 mana cap battle, I placed Chaos agent as a tank as I predicted some of the opponent monsters would miss it and just as predicted his Oshuur and Spirit
missed it in the first round giving it the chance to survive till the second round but it didn't end there as there was more misses and it was able to last till the end of the battle
Noa The Just
Noa is a nonattack monster but it was able to gain attack from the Daarg deadblast
weapon training ability, it has a high speed which makes it suitable to be placed in the second position and it only misses once in the battle. In case the opponent team is protected with armor, it has a rust
ability that will get rid of 2 armor.*
Daarg Deadblast
Daarg is a magic monster with weapon training ability, it also has swift which helps to increase my team's speed, This is one of the reasons the opponent finds it difficult to take down my chaos agent, it also has triage to boost the health of the rare monsters in case the opponent used sneaky or a monster with scattershot.
Merdaali Guardian
My heal tank that supplies health to chaos agent, it also benefitted from Daarg weapon training stats.
Sultry Barmaid
This monster made it easy to eliminate the opponent's tank, if not that it stunned it, it would have been difficult to kill it and my chance of winning would be slim.
Angelic Mandarin
Last but not least is Angelic with the silence
ability which helps to weaken the opponent's team magic attack.
It was a flawless victory, thanks to my formidable team.

!LADY
Using the first card as a tank was incredible, with all that backfire and dodge ability, and also the weapon's training. Good tactics.. weapon's training can be really dangerous
Yea chaos agent saved the day with its amazing abilities and I often use weapon training in low mana cap battle or when I want to give a non attack monster two different power
It's probably the best tactics. Good win again
That team is the best for you
Keep it up!
