Obama Now Showing Up In Politics More Than Ever Before

I already shared a blog about Obama's support to Kamala Harris. He stepping back into the campaign trail is not just about supporting Kamala Harris but also about his own legacy. I think it's necessary that he cares about his own legacy. The 2016 election outcome was a shock to so many people especially for those who saw Obama as a symbol of progress and preferred him over Donald Trump.

Trump’s presidency made it look they had to reset everything Obama did in his time, and it was a complete dismissal of the hope and change that defined Obama’s era. I'm a Trump supporter but just gotta be honest here.

I see why he’s more active now, shooting videos, hosting meetings, giving lots and lots of speeches and even doing a few ads. It's not about helping Kamala win but I think he's trying to make sure his time in office does not get written off as a political glitch. I forgot about Obama but he's on my mind now, that's probably what he wanted to achieve, for him to be remembered.

I talked about how Obama is now focusing on Black men voting for Kamala and the Democrats and I think it's very necessary that he does so. Some don’t see Harris as their candidate, and it may be because of her gender or because they feel left out by the Democratic Party. With the whole gender issue, I can understand. There's a notion and stereotype that men q better leaders and it hasn't changed that's why we see the effect against Kamala Harris right now.

Obama is able to speak to them in a way few others can, and he certainly needs to do so because it will go against Kamala if the black community is not convinced.

Obama knows that, sometimes you’ve got to dive back into something you retired from, especially when the stakes are this high.

But, what if he fails? What if Trump becomes president, makes America great? That basically proves that Obama’s presidency was what caused America to decline. This is what Obama is fighting for. He's trying to make sure that everything he worked for in terms of his reputation as former president is not ruined by Trump's success.
