Receiving a passive income seems dope, but renting is not about sitting there and just look your Dec increasing, there's hard work behind it if you wanna find the best deals and maximize your profit.
You might have noticed that almost all my posts are about finding edges over the market or other players and exploit them, or find underpriced items and flip them.

Knowledge is power, and data is knowledge.

Before we jump on Splinterlands buying all cards and renting all cards out, we need to prepare ourselves first. Our aim is to find cards which price is lower as possible, at the same time has a satisfactory renting value. So to assist me I'll use two of the most important 3rd party tools of Splinterlands: https://monstermarket.io/ and https://peakmonsters.com/.

How we gonna roll.

First we head into peakmonster and try to find Hyped cards, which have high demand and drive the renting price up. Those cards are easy to spot, once you are in the renting page, by default the cards will be ordered by Low Price Dec/Daily, and from Legendaries to Common.

The trick is go down the list, to the higher price cards of each category. From there we gonna open Monstermarket sort by price, and we can start to looking for good deals.
Our goal is to find cards that are at the same time one of the highest renting price and the lowest bid price.

My results

I spent some time doing this research and I made this spread sheet with my results. Here we have the price in dollars, the price in DEC with the todays rate of $0.0074559/DEC, the renting price and the Payback time.

Those are the best cards to buy if you are looking to rent and have a passive income from that. The shorter the payback time the better, because this mean that we are getting a large proportion of what we paid on the card. So cards like Spirit Shaman are perfect for renting, since the cost only $4 and can have a profit of 25% of its price by month.

Don't fool yourself

This is a strategy to find the best deal for renting, this isn't a get rich quickly scheme. After all you still have to find someone to rent your cards, so be patient before jumping on it and spending all your money on those cards. But if you want to invest on some "real state" so you can have a passive income, those cards are the best to start with.

My final result was:

I bought 3 Shaman Spirit, 1 Mushroom Seer, and 1 Diamond Dragon, because of my budget.

I'll be back with the results of my investment on those cards, thank you for your attention, leave a comment if you have any other good rental card to buy or any tips.
