Splinterlands - I bought a Beta pack today and discovered something (O.o)

I bought a beta pack today and I feel good about it, and it's not because I found my most expensive legendary gold dragon card, in fact, the beta pack contained only one rare card which was the Twisted Jester which may be a part of why I felt good buying the pack, but the major reason why I feel good about buying the pack is because when I logged on to play Splinterlands today, I saw something different.

Before I proceed...I thought of something, let me quickly share it.

Wouldn't it be nice if you could just randomly log into your Splinterlands account and just find some really expensive card, maybe 1, every weekHaha...wishful thinking....I want to own a very expensive card sooooo bad :(...

Okay back to what I was saying, when I logged on today, I saw something really different than what I've been seeing, and it really made me feel good about Splinterlands and the fact that I bought a beta pack. Some readers might already think the fact that I bought a beta pack was what made me feel good, while that's not totally true, it's not untrue either. If possible, picking up at least 1 beta card everyday is what I'd love to do, but I don't get to that, a lot of my cards need to be upgraded and sometimes, getting beta packs makes it way cheaper except that you're not in control of the cards you open, but chances are that you maybe lucky more often than not.

Pardon my digression, what made me feel good about buying myself a beta pack was more interesting than the cards I opened, what made me feel good was the fact that as of today, at this very moment of writing this post, it feels really good to know that Splinterlands is a very nice game, and I'm not the only one who thinks so, and I think translating the game to Chinese and Japanese versions also contributed a huge part to that sentiment.

What really really made me feel good about purchasing that beta pack was that when I logged on, the first thing that caught my attention was that the beta packs had only 235, 166 packs remaining which means only 26% of the beta packs are left. That's just amazing, even in a bear market!

I'm not totally clear about what's going to happen after the cards are finished, but I'm sure it's going to have some positive impact on the price of the cards. Don't you think so? See why I felt good about buying a beta pack today?

The mystery potion allows us one gift a day for five days. One of those mystery gifts is an expensive card (It cost 6000 DEC to purchase) but its not easy to hit one. Sometimes you will only get a reward card and other times an ORB. There could be more mystery prizes aside from the ones mentioned.

From my understanding there will be a period of no Booster packs for sale and then an introduction of new cards as the founders said they are trying to avoid reprints.

Oh really, nice...thanks for the tip, I'd work towards trying that. I'm caught up inbetween using my dec for shopping or storing it up. I need to earn a lot of DEC lol

So does this mean during that period, cardss will only be available for sale in the Splinterlands internal market? makes a lot of sense, now I see why players are buying so much packs, so they can have the chance to sell them during that time right....very interesting..

If the founders go with that plan then the secondary market or private sale will be the only way to buy boosters until new ones are introduced.
