RE: Is it possible for Splinterlands (SL) Investors to invest in hive? Why?

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

"Curation reward." Who are they "curating" content for? There's no audience. Very few viewers, because for several years, potential consumers are encouraged to automate everything and walk away. Sure, this approach can bring in token buyers, but technically we're paying for products that are not being purchased. The products go unnoticed and eventually the money leaves the door.

So even all that Splinterlands content is rewarded, but due to lack of interest in content, you're left with the appearance of the product being unpopular. Media is a powerful tool and an authentic reaction contributes to growth.

Majority of people are not content creators. Majority of people are content consumers. People paying for products they are in support of is not unusual. People (Hive) paying for products nobody wants, is counterproductive.

Picture a stadium. This approach is akin to asking baseball fans to purchase tickets, but not show up to the game. Next, all goods and services available at the stadium collect dust on the shelves, while employees still need to get paid. Next, all those viewers at home see an empty stadium and therefore a struggling team. Next, the one coming to buy that team sees merchandise sales on the floor and no fans. Gives a low ball offer because it's not worth anything close to full potential.

Happy to see you're working to bring people together. I encourage Hive to reevaluate its approach to supporting content.

full agreement there :)

Yet you are here, and you wrote that comment, and I am writing a response.

I will upvote your comment to get some curation, and you will be rewarded with author rewards. I know I am stating the obvious. My point is you and I exist, and as opposed thinking who doesn't exist, I am going to celebrate that we do!

I shall look beyond you and I, at all that potential over there, and point at it, until the day I die. ;)

lol. Indeed. I'll tell you something funny. At times I feel like a door-to-door salesman when I leave comments like that. Luckily the door isn't being slammed in my face, and I still see the window of opportunity.

I saw your comment on top trending post, which led me here. And now others can see. Maybe one or ten. They all count.

Have a good one.
